R. Kelly Allegedly Head of ‘Sex Cult’ According to Concerned Parents
R&B singer R. Kelly seems to be in hot water once again. While the current accusations are similar to those he has face in the past, the most recent allegations have a more sinister turn. A group of concerned parents are claiming that their daughters are being held against their will in an alleged “sex cult”, lead by R. Kelly.
Concerned Parents Haven’t Seen their Daughters in Years
According to a report by Buzzfeed News, concerned parents who haven’t seen their daughters in over a year, as well as former members of R. Kelly’s entourage, claim that the singer keeps a group of women in his Atlanta and Chicago homes. According to the report, at least six women live on the two properties, have cut off all communications with their families, and are of legal age of consent.
R. Kelly a Dictator?
The report also alleges that R. Kelly dictates many aspects of the women’s lives while they stay on his property. This includes what they eat, how they dress, when they sleep and when they bathe. Allegedly, R. Kelly targets young women looking who are looking to develop their music careers before engaging in sexual relationships with them.
Cheryl Mack, who was R. Kelly’s assistant from 2013 to 2014 gave details of the “sex cult”. “You have to ask for food. You have to ask to go to bathroom,” said Mack. “Kelly is a master at mind control, he’s a puppet master.” Another former employee of R. Kelly, Asanta McGhee also weighed in, saying “R. Kelly is the sweetest person you will ever want to meet, but Robert is the devil.”
Another source claims that each woman is given a cell phone that is used only to communicate with R. Kelly. One of the women, who is a singer from Georgia, was contacted by the police at her parent’s request, reportedly telling the officers that she was “fine and did not want to be bothered.”
Kelly’s Lawyer Chimes in
Although R. Kelly has yet to respond to the most recent allegations, his lawyer, Linda Mensch, responded in an email to Buzzfeed. In the email, Mensch says, “We can only wonder why folks would persist in defaming a great artist who loves his fans, works 24/7, and takes care of all of the people in his life. He works hard to become the best person and artist he can be. It is interesting that stories and tales debunked many years ago turn up when his goal is to stop the violence; put down the guns; and embrace peace and love. I suppose that is the price of fame. Like all of us, Mr. Kelly deserves a personal life.”
With the allegations coming from women who claim to a be former employees of R. Kelly, as well as former members Kelly’s entourage, there may be truth to the claims. Although the singer has been trying to remain quiet about his private life and avoid controversy, controversy has definitely found him after these new accusations.
