In addition, this year’s edition will add a novel idea of ‘Food Districts’.

Friday, the 18th of October, will present an opening night party, to be hosted by Chef Nick Leahy of Aix and Tin-Tin, that will possibly be only outdone by the night concert scheduled to be held the next day. The occasion is meant to be a bridge and haven between chefs and food lovers from all over the city and neighboring localities. Therefore, the Taste of Atlanta opening party will include a showcasing event by various chefs who will place great emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal cooking. After this, some well-known restaurants, with live music of Moontower in the background, will offer tastings as well as cocktails and beer.

Some cooks are more interested in the cooking demos and classes the Taste of Atlanta 2019 will make available. The cooking enthusiasts will be led by Atlanta chefs in a rare, hands-on and freely guided class that will expose the secrets of culinary success on a wide range of subjects, from Vegan dishes to Italian delicacies. Also, the attendees will also get a valuable watch of the intricacies of the kitchens of Atlanta. Where chefs from Chef’s Table and Home Plate Stages will demonstrate delectable dishes and sampling of their culinary works.

As Taste of Atlanta admits that music and food are soul brothers, the Saturday night concert will feature a yet-to-be disclosed band. One can expect to be drowned in the lull of singalongs and rock hits from a famous local band, of course all will be done in the presence of food made available with food trucks. Tip: bring a blanket and a chair to enjoy the heaven of the music on the lawn, with your food.

The Taste of Atlanta 2019 is a cashless event that makes use of pre-loaded taste points in the wristbands, operating on Radio-frequency identification, that will be offered to the ticket holders. The taste points will be exchanged for food tasting opportunities as well as drinks and merch. It is worthy of note that only 10 taste points will be available to general admission ticket holders, and to get more points, it will be at a cost of $1 each.
